Introducing Colon Cleansing Foods to the Diet

It is easy to assume that colon cleansing is required due to the buildup of foods in the form of waste products in the system. Although this can be true, it tends to be certain types of food that cause blockages which would benefit from a cleansing process. There are some colon cleansing foods which minimize the necessity for a deep cleanse and help to maintain a healthy digestive system and bowel. These systems must function efficiently in order to stay healthy. Colon cleansing foods such as high fiber foods and foods full of digestive enzymes and probiotics are an excellent way to restore the colon and bowels to full health.

Some excellent colon cleansing foods are raw, organic fruits and vegetables that are free from toxins and chemicals as well as wholegrain foods such as brown bread. It is impossible for most people to ensure that they consume a diet of raw vegetables and brown rice everyday. For starters, it can become incredibly boring and for another, most of us are not aware of the pesticides and chemicals that may be present in shop bought food. The easiest way to introduce colon cleansing foods to the diet is to start small. Even eating a high fiber cereal for breakfast with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice can be an excellent start and get you well on the way to restoring the natural balance in the body.

We can all eat our favorite foods as long as it is in moderation and we try to add fresh, healthy colon cleansing foods as much as possible. High fiber foods can help to regulate bowel movements while raw or lightly steamed vegetables can contain enough digestive enzymes to ensure that our food is digested fully before entering the intestinal tract. Both of these methods help to keep the bowels and colon as healthy as possible.

The Benefits of Colon Cleansing Foods

The benefits of colon cleansing foods far outweigh the luxury of eating anything we would like. If you want to feel good, look good and be secure in the knowledge that you are healthy from the inside out, then colon cleansing foods should be first on the list. It is easy to make small changes to the diet to include colon cleansing foods and the results can be fantastic. Clearer skin, more energy, a flat stomach and even weight loss can be contributed to colon cleansing foods. It is an amazingly natural way to influence the health of the whole body as all of our internal systems and organs are affected. Colon cleansing foods can help the lymph system, digestive system and a whole host of ordinary yet annoying afflictions such as regular headaches, fatigue and heartburn.

Why Use Colon Cleansing Formulas

I love my job. I learn more in a week of researching articles than most college professors do during their careers, except I have to make it interesting in order to get paid. So now today I come across my assignment list and see I’m to write about colon cleansing formulas. Unfortunately, the colon referred to was not the punctuation mark colon “:” but the bodily organ that processes our poo. Sometimes our colon can’t get all of the crap out of us all by itself and needs a little help. Sometimes the colon does a bodge job and only shovels out what it absolutely has to and leaves the stickier stuff behind. This can stay behind for a long time. (Anything over two days is too long, in my opinion.)

Detox

One of the words you can’t help be smacked in the eyes with these days is “detox”, and not in connection with misbehaving movie stars. If you want to get healthy, one of the first steps recommended now is to purge all of the toxins from your body. Even excess water can act as a toxin. So people use colon cleansing formulas to help them in this detox process and help start afresh.

Plan It Carefully

Despite from what I learned from the Monty Python sketch “The Golden Age of Colonic Irrigation”, a proper colon cleansing formula only works best when in conjunction with a program that may take days or a week. Depending on the colon cleansing formula you are interested in, you might have to fast for five days or so before taking the colon cleansing formula and spending the next day on the potty.

Colon cleansing formulas are serious medicine. Treat them with respect. If you are unsure about the safety, either check with your doctor or choose another colon cleansing formula. For me, I eat a few bowls of raisin bran. That nearly shoots me to the moon. But apparently that is not one of the recommended colon cleansing formulas.

You will want to keep drinking water throughout the fast and using colon cleansing formulas. You might risk dehydration otherwise. Dehydration is not a lot of fun – you become much disoriented, can’t make the simplest of decisions, faint, and generally hurt. If you are using a colon cleansing formula, make sure somebody checks up on you during this time. You don’t have to tell them why – in fact, POSITIVELY don’t tell them why – but schedule someone to check up on you.
